The Department of Letters of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) proudly offers its program of Portuguese for Foreigners. The Portuguese language courses are designed to develop the students' ability to understand and use both spoken and written Portuguese, so as to allow for communication. Our courses are targeted at people of different nationalities who are interested in learning Portuguese. All of our experienced teachers are highly qualified in the teaching of foreign languages and will ensure that the lessons are lively and that all the participants are involved. Classes have a limited number of students to allow for a better learning environment. The intensive course will be held in the Gavea Campus, on R. Marquês de São Vicente, 225 - Casa XV - Gávea/ RJ.

Placement Test

November 28th (friday) 11 am at room 118L, Building Leme.
Result of placement test will be available on November 29th, 2014, 2pm.

Required Document

Passport with valid visa (hand in photocopies and show originals).
Note that according to Brazilian laws, extension courses do not give foreigners the right to obtain a student visa.

Tuition

R$ 3.879,00 to be paid upon registration.
This course can be divided in 2 installments Mastercard and Visa charged in cards. On American Express cards will be done in a single payment.

Certificate

Students who fulfill course requirements (attendance and passing grade) will be awarded a certificate.
